Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a little extra time in the mornings, allowing you to avoid that frantic rush while getting ready? Establishing a bedtime beauty regimen is one of the most effective strategies to guarantee you wake up looking and feeling your best. By dedicating time to your beauty routine at night, you’ll feel rejuvenated and prepared for the day ahead instead of facing stress and urgency in the morning. The following beauty hacks below are ones that i have incorporated in my own night-time routine and have definitely allowed me to wake up feeling fresh and ready to go without the need for any makeup.
HEATLESS CURLS
If you haven’t heard of heatless curls, you’ve been living under a rock. They’ve recently taken the beauty world by storm—and for good reason! Whether your hair is damaged or not, heatless curls are an excellent choice for anyone looking to achieve healthier hair or simply wanting to wake up with stunning locks. The main appeal of this technique is that you can create gorgeous, bouncy curls overnight without inflicting any heat damage—the primary cause of hair damage. Since these curls require no heat at all, it’s crucial to start with wet or damp hair; this helps the curls hold better. I’ve noticed that when I tried them on dry hair, they fell out almost immediately.
Many people complain about heatless curls losing their shape, which is why starting with wet hair and ensuring your hair is completely dry before removing them is key. Investing in a high-quality tool definitely pays off as it makes the process much easier and ensures comfort while sleeping; otherwise, you might end up with sleepless nights and a lot of frustration trying to put them in (trust me, I’ve experienced that). In summary, heatless curls offer a healthier, more sustainable, and incredibly convenient alternative to traditional heated styling methods—making them a fantastic option for waking up to beautiful curls. I see why anyone wouldn’t do this; they are truly one of the best beauty hacks
SIDE TIP – I also like to to spray my heatless curls before and after sleeping with hairspray to ensure that they hold but I always find that the second day curls hold better.
Tanning drops
Who wouldn’t want to wake up to a radiant, sun-kissed face? Tanning drops are the best way to enhance your beauty overnight. Simply apply your desired amount of drops to your moisturiser at the end of your skincare routine and wake up with bronzy skin. For me, these definitely make the biggest difference in how I look the next day, as I feel less of a need to wear makeup—if any at all—so I’m ready to go as soon as I wake up. A helpful tip to ensure they work effectively is to apply them roughly 30 minutes to an hour before bedtime, giving them enough time to absorb so they don’t just transfer onto my sheets. Give these a go when you feel your face lacks brightness, especially during winter when you might need an extra boost of colour. They’re also a fantastic choice for those looking to avoid sun exposure but still wishing for that lovely bronzy glow.
I use both Tan Luxe and Isle of Paradise tanning drops; however, I believe that Tan Luxe offers a more natural-looking glow and is easier to blend into the skin. Additionally, Tan Luxe has their “Super Glow,” which includes skincare benefits by adding extra hydration with hyaluronic acid. I find this to be an excellent choice during winter when my skin tends to be drier. While all options are fantastic, tan luxe probably gives more of an even application however if your looking for something more affordable go for the isle of paradise as these are still great!
lash serums
Lash serums won’t be an overnight miracle like the steps mentioned above; however, with consistent use, they will provide amazing results. Taking the time to incorporate them into your nighttime routine before bed is definitely a game changer for achieving longer, thicker lashes that won’t require mascara or extensions again! Consistency is key when it comes to using lash serums, which is why establishing a nighttime routine is a good idea to stay on top of things and ensure you look your best in the morning. Honestly these serums have made my eyelashes GROWW!
Be cautious if you have very sensitive eyes, as most lash serums contain Prostaglandin (the ingredient responsible for growth), which can cause irritation and other reactions around the eyes in some people. When I first used a Prostaglandin lash serum, my eyes were incredibly red—like crazy panda eyes—but that was due to how much I applied. It’s important to follow the instructions and use only a little (which I didn’t do, and I faced the consequences). However, once I actually did what I was supposed to do, the results were incredible, within a few weeks, my lashes had never been so long and luscious! Lash serums really do work, and if you feel like nothing works… think again—I can assure you these will!
The serums below are some of my favourites, they honestly make your lashes grow soooo long. They are also more affordable then other options that do the same thing!

teeth whitening
When it comes to achieving a flawless look, many of us focus on skincare, haircare, and perhaps a bit of self-tanning (as we’ve discussed). However, here’s a beauty tip that often goes unnoticed: having a bright, white smile! Adding teeth whitening to your nighttime routine can significantly boost your confidence and enhance your overall appearance. I never realized how impactful teeth whitening could be until I gave it a try. The best part about whitening your teeth at night? It’s incredibly simple! With options like whitening strips or pens available, you can easily apply the product before bedtime and let it work its magic while you sleep. There’s no need to find extra time in your hectic schedule. You’ll wake up to noticeably whiter teeth, and honestly, it doesn’t get much easier than that.
red light therapy
One of the main ways many people feel confident in themselves is when their skin looks bright and clear—I know that’s true for me! Red light therapy is like a mini spa treatment you can do right before bed. It helps stimulate collagen production, which is essential for keeping your skin firm and youthful. Over time, regular use of red light therapy can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving you that smooth, glowing complexion we all crave. Red light therapy is also great for those with acne and inflammation, as it promotes healing, making it an excellent option for individuals with sensitive and acne-prone skin.
Whenever I use my light I always notice that my skin looks so plump and fresh. So, if you’re looking for a more luxurious way to elevate your bedtime beauty routine, give red light therapy a try! It’s a gentle, effective way to treat your skin while promoting relaxation and overall well-being. Incorporate this soothing therapy into your nighttime ritual, and wake up looking and feeling flawless every single day!
SIDE TIP: LED therapy isn’t just red light; there are other colours that come with their own benefits. For example, blue light LED is antibacterial and is often used alongside red light LED to improve acne.
I use the Current Body Flex MD, and while I believe investing in a good LED light is worth it—and this one definitely is—I know it can be quite pricey. Therefore, I will list some more affordable, good value options below that are definitely worth the price!
